Children’s Museum of Indianapolis, Part 2

A few more sketches from the world’s largest children’s museum. A carousel horse and a bit of detail on how the “leapers” work. Thanks to Jim for showing me the carousel and their working vintage Wurlitzer.

A mastodon skeleton (typically misspelled in my sketch), discovered in Indiana.

sokolA sokol suit, warn by American astronaut Dick Wolf on the joint US-USSR mission on the Mir space station. Sokol is a Russian word for “rescue.” This suit was only warn on liftoff and reentry in case of emergency.

The Children’s Museum has a branch of the public library inside. Here’s the Larry shelf.
