The Overlook Lounge, NYC

While researching Larry Gets Lost in New York I’ve been staying in Midtown East and discovered a neighborhood bar and grill called the Overlook Lounge. In the 70s it was called Costello’s and they started a wall of art by cartoonists that worked for papers and magazines in the neighborhood. Among the luminaries are Mad Magazine’s Al Jaffee and Sergio Aragones, comics great Gil Kane, Milt Caniff and many others.

A few years ago, a second wall was added for newer contributors (National Lampoon’s S. Gross, Jules Feiffer. and Al Jaffee again). Mark, the owner, generously allowed me to add Larry to the wall.

Thanks, Mark!
